About Me

Hello! I'm Somesh Harshavardhan, a game developer. But I'm also so much more. I grew up in a melting pot of cultures, cuisines and languages. All of it inspired me to be me. Unfiltered. Honest. Harsh.

Here are some fun facts about me:

  • 🐭 I can whip up a ratatouille that would make Remy proud.

  • 🌍 I’ve visited 32 countries, and Kenya tops the list for its stunning landscapes and wildlife.

  • ⚔️ I once met Sven Vincke (armor and all!)—a surreal moment for any fan of Baldur's Gate 3.

  • 🦝 My spirit animal is the raccoon—resourceful, curious, and a little mischievous!

My Languages

The idea of linguistic relativity, also known as the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, has always intrigued me. I believe that the languages we speak can significantly influence the way we think and perceive the world around us. Moreover, there's evidence to suggest that language can help create neural links and pathways in our brains, allowing us to think more creatively and abstractly. I'm particularly fascinated by the potential for language to structure our dreams, ideas, and concepts, enhancing our cognitive abilities and have a Duolingo streak that is 780+.

My Music.

Why is music important to me?

Music, to me is not just a hobby or a source of entertainment; it's a language I employ to understand, connect and share the complex emotions we are capable of.

The violin is my go to outlet and I've been working on my skills for twenty years; Predominately in the South Indian Classical and Hindustani styles.

But music is not just a passion for me, it's also a source of escape and solace. I have tinnitus, which can be a constant distraction, but when I put on my headphones, it all fades away.

Each playlist is carefully curated to suit different micro-moods and occasions. If earmarking music was a superpower, my suit would say AUX man.
